Waterfall Gardens
La Paz Waterfall Gardens is located near the Poas Volcano on an area of the country called "Vara Blanca", it will take us about 45 min. to get from Pura Vida. Once we arrive, we have for our enjoyment over 3.5 kilometers of walking trails that lead you to a Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Garden, serpentarium, Frog Exhibit, Tica House, bird watching areas and different views of the several waterfalls in the property. This is a guided tour; they will enhance your experience with their knowledge of Costa Rica's natural history.
Canopy Zip Line Adventure
This adventure takes place in a cloud forest at the foot of the Barva Volcano, an inactive volcano surrounded by beautiful forest which is part of the Braulio Carrillo National Park. To start the tour you climb on a stair case to a platforms located at the top of an ancient oak trees. Once on top of the forest, you will zip line across from platform to platform using the cables that connect them and you will be able to have a bird's eye view of the forest. This tour is an adventurous way for people of all ages to enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica's Forest.

Meet Your Teachers

Co-Founder
Lisa has been teaching yoga for over 30 years. She is a master life coach and yoga instructor that has been teaching yoga and wellness retreats for 20+ years. Lisa is the co-creator of the BodyMind Fusion Yoga Teacher training and is a licensed hypnotherapist. Lisa uses her connection to spirituality and a higher power to help her students find purpose and meaning. Lisa loves teaching her yoga posture clinics and Yoga Nidra at the retreat!

Gina has been teaching yoga and wellness classes for 21 years. Gina is the co-creator of the BodyMind Fusion Yoga Teacher training. She is a licensed clinical mental health therapist and master life coach. Gina is an expert in mindset behavior change and life improvement. Her classes are fun and designed for all levels, she uses her intuition and gifts for healing to help her students with sound healings, intuitive readings, and transcendental meditations.

Our shuttle service from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) included in packages
Pura Vida Retreat & Spa offers shuttle service to and from the SJO airport only.

Check in time is 2pm and consists of some brief paperwork and a welcome orientation. Check out time is 10:00am. Pura Vida Retreat & Spa accepts cash, and all major credit cards on site. You will not incur foreign transaction fees at Pura Vida if you are using a US credit card.

You may cancel up to 30 days prior to your stay and will receive a refund minus $1000 deposit. $1000 deposit may be used towards any other Global Holistic retreat, course, or workshop within 12 months.

In-room Amenities: Liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided in all rooms. Hair dryers are available at the front desk.
Technology: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, although some areas may be less strong than others. You can expect to have 10 MB’s or less. Ethernet cables for a more reliable connection are available for guest computers near the reception area. Most cell phones work in Costa Rica, but we highly recommend that you contact your service provider before traveling for assistance in selecting the appropriate package for you. Or, better yet, download WhatsApp to communicated with your friends and family while in Costa Rica. They must also download the program. A phone is available for use in our guest lounge at the reception area. Free calls to the US or Canada.
Water: There is glass bottled water in your room and at the bar, as well as bottled water stations throughout the property to refill personal bottles. Water at Pura Vida is safe to drink from every faucet on the property. They filter their water on the premises with both a 1-micron filter and a UV filter. Countrywide, water quality standards in Costa Rica are generally quite high and visitors normally do not have any problems. Alkaline water is available in the restaurant at no additional cost.
Pool: Enjoy lazy laps and floating on the mountaintop in our solar heated pool or just soaking in the sun poolside. Our property also offers a hot tub and Aquatic Treatments pool for therapeutic wellness treatments.
